Purpose statement

The principal purpose of Rotary Australia World Community Service Ltd (RAWCS) is to act as Trustee for it's three DGR Funds, being Rotary Australia Benevolent Society, Rotary Australia Overseas Aid Fund and Rotary Australia Relief Fund. In 2021/22 RAWCS also commenced funding projects that do not provide tax deductibility. RAWCS undertakes activities that arouse compassion in people in the community; are aimed at helping people who are recognisably in need of benevolence; and include working for the relief of poverty or distress (such as sickness, disability, destitution, suffering, misfortune or helplessness). These activities may include international development aid and relief to relieve the needs of the people assisted.
